    Description

    We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager in Nottingham area on behalf of one of the biggest care providers in the area.

    Job DescriptionWe are looking for a temporary Assistant home manager to cover a vacancy in one of our 2 bed medium to long care childrens homes.

    The children who live in the home are very settled and this is a home for EDB.

    The role will include deputising for the home manager, supervision staff, ensuring the childrens needs are met, writing reports, monitoring and keeping systemd updated and being on an on call rota for evenings and weekends.

    Can include sleep-ins and cover at weekends should there be staff shortages. The home is fully staffed apart from this one vacancy and has an Ofsted inspection grading of GOOD. This is a full-time role and you must be able to commit to 37 hrs per week.

    Duties and ResponsibilitiesCore responsibilities and duties will include:1. Provide shift management of resources, which includes specific delegated responsibilities in staffing, finance, equipment, and the building.2.

    To advise and support in the use of outcome-based support plans, which are person-centred and help the individual to make informed choices and decisions, enabling them to clarify and express their needs to achieve outcomes, manage risk and contribute to service planning.3.

    Work with the Registered Manager to review and effectively manage the delivery of care and support and to achieve any regulatory improvement or action plan requirements within the specific time scales.4.

    You will Influence, shape, develop and grow the Service, increasing the quality-of-service provision, the service offer and service user numbers.5.

    Take responsibility for the running of the service in the absence of the Registered Manager.
    You will manage the service including staffing allocation, budget control, building maintenance; ensuring all CQC Standards are met.

    Essential skills, knowledge and experience required to fulfil the role include, but are not limited to:


    • Level 3 in Health & Social Care, willing to work towards level 4 & 5
    • Experience of management in health and social care environment
    • Extensive knowledge of relevant national strategies & Health and Social Care legislation
    • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to write legible daily reports, person centred support plans and risk assessments
    • Awareness of working in a Community Led Support Model
