Overview:

Everest People Solutions are recruiting for a Credit Controller to join a welcoming accounts team at a business based in Alfreton. Based on-site, this role offers a dynamic environment where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring timely cash collection and safeguarding the company from potential losses by diligently monitoring credit risk. Immediate start available.

Key Duties & Responsibilities for the Credit Controller

Follow up with customers regarding overdue payments, including sending duplicate invoices and statements.

Address inquiries related to outstanding invoices.

Utilize telephone, email, and written communication to remind customers of overdue invoices or debts within agreed-upon timeframes.

Adapt credit control strategies as needed to effectively manage accounts.

Maintain thorough and accurate records of all communication and follow-up activities.

Ensure timely and comprehensive responses to both customer and internal inquiries.

Collaborate with customers and finance managers to address problematic accounts and negotiate payment arrangements when necessary.

Establish new accounts, offering suitable terms based on credit evaluations and trade references.

Handle cash allocation and maintain account details.

Coordinate with credit claims and pricing departments to resolve payment-related issues.

Initiate legal action for debt collection when standard credit control measures are unsuccessful.

Perform additional administrative tasks within the scope of the position.

Requirements for the Credit Controller

High proficiency in computer usage, specifically in credit control operations.

Minimum of one year of experience in a Credit Control role.

Dedication with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to exceeding expectations.

Flexibility, confidence, dedication, and professionalism, with the ability to anticipate and address concerns proactively.

Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.

At least intermediate proficiency in Excel.
