- Provide comprehensive legal advice to clients on matters related to digital assets, blockchain, and cryptocurrencies.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements related to ICOs, token sales, cryptocurrency exchanges, and other blockchain-based initiatives.
- Assist in shapingclient strategies on the acquisition, disposal, and management of digital assets.
- Keep up to date onregulatory developments within digital assets, cryptocurrency, and related technologies to ensure client compliance.
- Represent clients in negotiations and before regulatory bodies.
- Contribute to the firm's thought leadership on digital asset regulation and blockchain technology.
- Qualified as a lawyer in the UK, Australia, New Zealand or Canada;
- From 3-7 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in digital assets, fintech, or a related field or a solid corporate background with a desire to work more in the digital assets industry.
- Strong understanding of the blockchain technology and cryptocurrency industry.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Experience in cross-border transactions is highly desirable.

Exciting career opportunity in the digital assets space in the busy, highly visible, and rapidly growing practice in the Cayman Islands.
Our client is a major global offshore law firm with offices around the world. Its office in the Cayman Islands is large and well established. It is now seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Lawyer to join its dynamic Digital Assets and Web3/Crypto team. You will join a dedicated team of 6 lawyers, headed by a UK qualified partner in its Cayman office, and work closely with its BVI team, providing in-depth, multi-jurisdictional legal advice on a wide range of issues related to digital assets, including blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and related financial regulations in the Cayman Islands. Clients will range from DAOs, Layer 1 and 2 protocols to regulated virtual asset providers, Web3 providers, to DApps amongst others.
