Role ResponsibilitiesMedia Relations:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media representatives in the automotive sector.
Proactively engage with journalists to secure positive coverage and manage inquiries.
Press Release Development:
Craft well-written, engaging press releases highlighting key developments, product launches, and corporate news.
Ensure timely distribution of press releases to relevant media outlets and stakeholders.
Crisis Management:
Act as a point of contact for media during crisis situations, providing accurate and timely information to protect the company's reputation.
Event Communication:
Coordinate and communicate information related to automotive events, ensuring comprehensive media coverage.
Work closely with event organisers to maximise our brand presence.
Content Creation:
Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and insights for content creation in relation to press
Essential Skills:
Degree or relevant qualification in Communications and PR or a relevant subject3-5 Years of experience as a Press OfficerKnowledge and understanding of the automotive press industryExceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiencesProficient in creating clear, concise, and persuasive press releasesStrong understanding of the UK automotive media landscape and established contacts within the industryAbility to navigate and manage relationships with journalists and influencersExperience in developing and implementing effective crisis communication plansQuick decision-making and adaptability in high-pressure situationsIn-depth knowledge of the automotive industry, including market trends, competitors, and regulatory landscapeAbility to translate technical information into accessible and compelling narratives for the general publicCollaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teamsFlexibility and willingness to contribute beyond traditional PR responsibilities.
