The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, confident and talented individual to join our team as a Tenancy Sustainment Officer.
As a dynamic individual who is committed to delivering holistic, person-centred support, you will be responsible for supportingtenants in privately rented accommodation to maintain their tenancies and/or accommodation.
Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of a Tenancy Sustainment Officer include, but are not limited to:
- Provide holistic, housing-related support to tenants and understand both their short and longer terms needs to overcome barriers to accessing/maintaining accommodation.
- Work in partnership with external agencies and internal teams to ensure that tenants receive support tailored to their needs.
- Record relevant performance statistics as requested for performance monitoring purposes.
- To be aware of tenant and landlord rights and responsibilities and legislation that has to be adhered to.
- Encouraging social inclusion and meaningful use of time for those at risk of isolation.
- Support landlords to address tenancy management issues.
- To support officers in the wider housing team broadening their tenancy sustainment tools.
- The ability to work remotely and support customers in their homes, to appointments etc. that are relevant to their housing situation.
- To attend training and development sessions to keep updated on relevant issues.

The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Tenancy Sustainment Officer are:
- Have a track record of successful partnership working to achieve positive outcomes.
- Previous experience as a Tenancy Sustainment Officer or similar role.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to prioritize a varied workload.
- Selfmotivated and able to use initiative.
- Excellent interpersonal and engagement skills
- Experience of supporting a diverse client group.
