Asset Manager - Edinburgh, United Kingdom - EDF

    Default job background
    Full time
    Description

EDF has a strategic position in the energy industry, managing multiple technologies on a global scale and having an end-to-end approach with assets. EDF deals inhouse with origination, development, construction and operations. This enables harvesting knowledge and learning in each phase and continuously refining our processes and know-how for the next generation of assets. In doing so, we work alongside our local and central R&D department to pioneer new solutions and improvements to the existing and future fleet.

We encourage and support everybody in the team to lead with impact, at all levels and across the whole asset life. With this comes a unique range of opportunities for career growth and skillset development.

Within this ecosystem, the Asset Management team sits in the Asset Operations department and acts on behalf of Asset Owners/Investors/Boards to manage and administer the assets, deliver target returns and enhance long term value by influencing through all phases of asset life.

Having close working relationships with the O&M teams (internal and external) and different stakeholders, as an Asset Manager you will ensure that the day to day performance is in line with the business plan; using all the resources that the business offers, you will identify and oversee performance and returns optimisation opportunities, whilst also looking to identify continual improvements and long term planning.

You will oversee a variety of operational, commercial and financial matters associated to the running of the Onshore Wind portfolio with exposure to a different mix of technologies and you will be empowered to lead with impact in an always evolving business and context.

    Pay, benefits and culture

At EDF Renewables we're dedicated to doing good things and we take pride in tackling the world's biggest challenge – climate change. We do this by embracing new ideas to create an innovative and open-minded culture, a culture where we trust the best versions of ourselves to make good things happen.

Alongside a competitive salary, bonus, and a market-leading pension scheme, we offer a range of flexible benefits, and employee discounts to help you thrive across all aspects of your life. You can spend your flexible fund on the benefits that matter to you, whether that's an electric vehicle, private healthcare, or additional holiday.

We'll offer you the flexibility, freedom and responsibility to make an impact in your role; whether that's on-site, in the office or hybrid working from home.

We're committed to championing diversity representation across gender, ethnicity, LGBT+, disability and more. This applies to all our roles, underpinned by our Everyone's Welcome inclusion programme.

We're a disability confident employer and we'll do all we can to help with your application, making adjustments as you need.

    What you'll be doing

Ensuring the contractual compliance with all commercial agreements as well as stakeholder relationships to include; equity investors, OEMs, Independent engineers and landowners.

    • As applicable, in coordination with the O&M team as well as the OEM team, monitor and challenge the operational performance and optimisation metrics to achieve the portfolio's highest possible generation.
