    Description

    We're on the lookout for a skilled engineer to join our team on a 9-12 month maternity cover contract in Barking, Dagenham, East London. The role is with a company specializing in mechanical and hydraulic manufacturing processes.

    Immediate start available.

    If you have a background in mechanical, hydraulic, pharmaceutical, processing machinery, CNC, automotive, aerospace, or similar fields, and experience in manufacturing, then you might be the perfect fit for this role. We're particularly interested in candidates with expertise in these areas and not electronics.


    Key Responsibilities as a Quality Engineer:

    • Overseeing the development and upkeep of all companywide standard operating procedures (SOP).
    • Implementing initiatives to enhance production cost efficiencies through process improvements, jig and fixture design, and their execution.
    • Leading 'Management of Changes' (MOC) processes to drive process enhancements.
    • Conducting specific quality audits on suppliers and assisting with internal and external audits.

    Requirements:

    • Solid background in quality management, ideally with CQI accreditation.
    • Experience in Verification and Validation processes along with the application of quality tools.
    • Engineering background with strong problemsolving capabilities and involvement in lean manufacturing.
    • Preferably, Green belt certification, with the ability to transition to a facilitator role.
    • Highly selfmotivated with a keen eye for process enhancement.

    Additional Information:

    • Full-time position with flexible working arrangements
    • Core Working Hours:
    0900 – 1530 (Mon-Thurs), 0900 – 1230 (Fri)

    • Office Hours:
