    Description

    Junior Cloud Engineer Position

    We are looking for a Junior Cloud Engineer to join our team at a top-tier global financial services company situated in North Bristol. You will have a chance to work in a hybrid capacity, splitting your time between the office and remote work.

    Overview of the Role:

    • Constructing and maintaining cloud infrastructure in live environments.
    • Advancing deployment practices for AWS solutions.
    • Offering AWS guidance and advice to other teams within the organization.
    • Automating software integration and deployment on cloud platforms.
    • Supporting in transitioning the current product suite into containerized applications.
    • Addressing and resolving client queries related to hosted infrastructure.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrating a profound understanding of cloud technologies and practical expertise in managing business-level IT environments.
    • Technical familiarity with designing infrastructure, encompassing private and public clouds, networking, virtualization, identity management, security protocols, and data storage.
    • Setting up firewalls, load balancers, and other networking devices.
    • Displaying your capability to work autonomously and proactively as a self-motivated professional.

    Desirable Skills:

    • Knowledge of building robust multi-site architectures.
    • Experience in cloud security, along with knowledge of ISO and PCI compliance regulations.
    • Familiarity with Azure and other cloud service providers.
    • Proficiency in Windows and Linux OS.
    • Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure management.
    • Proficiency in container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Azure AKS, and AWS EKS.
    • Familiarity with AGILE development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Extreme Programming.
    • Configuration expertise in firewalls, load balancers, and similar network devices.

    This Junior Cloud Engineer role offers a competitive starting salary ranging from £35,000 to £40,000 annually, in addition to a range of benefits including free onsite parking, generous holiday allowance, a company pension plan matching up to 5% of your salary, and Group Life Assurance among others.
