    Offshore Cable Engineer (Energy)

    WSP:
    Your new role, what's involved?
    Provide technical leadership for the successful delivery of multi-discipline offshore cable projects.
    Design and engineer submarine cable systems, including route selection, cable type, cable specifications, and installation methods.
    Conduct feasibility studies, performing cable load calculations, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
    Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to develop optimal cable designs that meet project requirements.
    Select appropriate cable types, determining routing and cable burial requirements and risk assessments, calculating cable ratings
    Design development of array cables, optimising array and export cables.
    A Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline, preferably Electrical or Power engineering.
    Prior experience in offshore cable engineering, marine renewable energy, or oil and gas industry is highly desirable.
    Desirable – HVDC projects both onshore and offshore; including HV cable system design and ratings (CYMCAP)
    Strong knowledge of submarine cable systems, including cable design, installation methods, and industry standards
    Familiarity with offshore design development works, marine construction projects, and subsea infrastructure design.
    The ability to travel as projects dictate.
