The role:


The Head of Event Operations and Customer Experience will direct and oversee the company's key exhibitions and conferences logistics, and customer experience functions, to operate efficiently and smoothly.

The functions are highly process-driven, and theethos of excellent customer care underpins everything the team does.


The operations team includes a Sponsor Liaison function which acts as a single point of contact with all of our sponsors and exhibitors.

It's aimed at providing a 5-star service for our clients and ensure their experience with us meets and exceeds theirexpectations.


Our Meetings function works to arrange and deliver onsite meetings between our sponsors, exhibitors and delegates that are directly relevant to them.

It focuses on ensuring we are creating connections between the right people to improve the event's impactfor all parties and facilitate useful interactions.


The Head of Event Operations will work with senior leadership to deliver the company's operations strategy and have responsibility for the relationships with key suppliers and venues to deliver outstanding on-site experiences.


Duties andresponsibilities:

  • Lead the key exhibitions and conferences logistics and customer experience functions (Operations, Speaker, Meetings, Exhibitor).
  • Agree perevent and perdivision budgets with event directors annually and be accountable for overall delivery to standard and budget.??
  • Continuously seek improvements to the processes used and the team's engagement with other parts of the business.?
  • Lead relationship management and find efficiencies with existing event suppliers such as venues, printers, shellscheme etc., negotiate contracts and source new suppliers when required, and run periodic reviews of all supplier arrangements.
  • Set strong standards for customer care and customer experience.
  • Ownership of our onsite events platform and its usage in all live events.

Essentialskills and experience:


  • Experience in managing several teams at the same time
  • Strong operations background, but ready to take on a more strategic role (while still being willing to get stuck in when needed)
  • Leadership and management skills, with the ability to set and prioritise goals and manage the performance of a large group of people working across different functions?
  • Outstanding organisational skills?
  • Selfmotivated, professional and focused in all aspects of work??
  • Calm yet effective under pressure??
