About the role


Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a
Technical Administrator to join our
Living Places business unit to work in the Street Lighting department based in Coventry.


What you'll be doing
As a Technical Administrator, your main responsibilities are as follows:

  • Take ownership of monitoring and updating management information systems.
  • Take ownership of monitoring and updating mobile digital systems devices.
  • Manage reactive fault time frames.
  • Assist the Operations team in taking, inputting and monitoring reactive faults.
  • Assist with contractual reporting.
  • Support systems manager with Digital implementations and problem solving.
  • Take ownership of monitoring and updating central management system.
  • MIS data investigation/resolutions.
  • Manage dig packs and permits where works required on contract.
  • Assist contract team in administrating any small 3rd party quotes.
  • Assist in the delivery of the contract social value strategy.
  • Record activities and update the social value portal.
  • Monitor and record Tool box talks and Zero Harm events.
  • Represent the contract at Communications forum.
  • Assist in the implementation and close out of "My Contribution" ideas.

Who we're looking for

The following qualities and experience are essential:

  • Capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes;
  • Strong knowledge of business systems and mobile digital devices;
  • Strong work ethic and ability to prioritise tasks;
  • Able to work on own initiative;
  • Must be a good team player, with strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Understands the basic Company Protocols;
  • Uncompromising approach to the implementation of H&S;
  • Fosters a culture of Right First Time;
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office programmes;
  • Good customer service skills.

The following qualities and experience are desirable:

  • Experience of working in office/digital environment;
  • Proven experience of working to tight deadlines with an ability to prioritise and multitask.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£23,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
