Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen within F3 Pre assessment Clinic for a committed paediatric Sister/Charge Nurse with a passion for Pre-assessment.
You will be part of a small, supportive team but will be required to work independently within the clinic and manage a workload.
We are looking for someone with good organisational skills and a vision to provide a quality service.You will be expected to work alongside the existing team to provide a positive experience for patients and family members whilst helping to develop the service.
As a band 6 there will be an expectation that you will lead a team of staff and undertake development reviews, 1:1 meetings and complete sickness meetings.
To work as part of a multidisciplinary team, (including Consultant Anaesthetist, Pharmacist, infection control, paediatric recovery and therapies) providing safe and efficient care for children and young people undergoing Pre-Assessment for elective surgery and medical admissions.
Support training and development of all grades of staff, including the provision of a positive learning environment in which staff can maximise their potential.

Significant acute General Paediatric Nursing experience
Experience in leading a team or in routinely coordinating a shift on a children's ward
Experience working on both a medical and a surgical ward
Broad knowledge of medical and surgical nursing care
Good understanding of Safeguarding issues
