This is an exciting opportunity to develop staff and our local community to access education and learning through an apprenticeship route, and to develop your leadership skills by providing inspirational leadership and strategic direction across our non-medical clinical apprenticeship provision.
Working with colleagues from across the Clinical Education Team, divisions and workforce directorate colleagues you will lead the team responsible for driving continued provision and expansion of our nursing apprenticeship programmes enabling staff to acquire knowledge, skills and behaviours to successfully complete their apprenticeship journey to professional registration and promotion.
Working with the Head of Non-Medical Education you will be responsible for leading all aspects of non-medical apprenticeship education delivery, governance and working closely with our HEI partners in order to ensure that our apprentices have a excellent learning experience throughout the duration of their apprenticeship.
To act as strategic lead for the development of all non-medical clinical apprenticeships, monitoring progress and ensuring quality governance processes are in placeEnsure that the nursing and AHP education teams are active in cross organisational projects and initiatives aimed at improving the quality, coordination and delivery of clinical education apprenticeship programmes under the direction of the Head of Non-Medical Education.
To work closely with Nursing Apprenticeship Pathways Team, Apprenticeship Programme Manager and other Workforce Development colleagues to ensure apprentices are appropriately placed within divisionsSupport the divisional teams and Head of Non-Medical Education to review pre-registration needs of the nursing and AHP workforce
With support from the Head of Non-Medical Education, lead the development of a strategic plan for nursing and AHP education, including new routes into professions and innovative options for education provision to maximise utilisation of the apprenticeship levy
To lead on the implementation of clinical nursing and AHP apprenticeship programmes, from attraction, on-boarding and recruitment, ensuring adequate pipeline of eligible applicants to undertake and complete level 5 & 6 apprenticeships
