    BIM Coordinator (Architecture)

    Central London

    £55k-£60k

    Role Overview:

    We are currently seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator for a prestigious opportunity with one of the leading architectural practices in the UK. They are a leading architectural design and engineering firm located in Central London and as a BIM Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and implementing Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes and workflows for architectural projects.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to develop and implement BIM standards, protocols, and workflows for architectural projects.
    • Oversee the creation, organization, and maintenance of BIM models, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and consistency throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Conduct clash detection analyses using BIM software to identify and resolve conflicts between architectural elements and other disciplines, ensuring coordination and minimizing errors.
    • Assist in the implementation and adoption of BIM technologies, tools, and methodologies within the architectural team, promoting best practices and efficient workflows.
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, to enhance coordination and project outcomes.
    • Provide guidance, training, and technical support to architectural team members on BIM software, tools, and workflows, ensuring proficiency and adherence to BIM standards.
    • Conduct regular quality control checks on BIM models and deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and the companies quality assurance protocols.
    • Generate and maintain accurate documentation, reports, and project records related to BIM coordination activities, milestones, and project deliverables.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field, along with a minimum of X years of experience in BIM coordination for architectural projects. Professional architectural license or certification is a plus.
    • Strong proficiency in BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Dynamo), along with a solid understanding of BIM methodologies, standards (e.g., COBie, IFC), and industry best practices.
    • Familiarity with clash detection, model management, data extraction, and visualization techniques. Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) and parametric design principles is advantageous.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking to identify and resolve coordination issues, perform clash detection analyses, and propose innovative solutions.
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ensuring accurate model management, compliance, and quality control.
    • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements, multitask, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
