Driver / Support Worker:

Closing Date:

27hrs per week:

Monday to Thursday 9.30am - 3pm

Friday 9.30am - 2.30pm

£12.38 per hour rising to £12.59 per hour on successful completion of training and probation period.
We are currently recruiting a driver / support worker for our Ramsbottom Day Centre.

About you:

You will be flexible with a 'can-do' attitude and share our values.

You will have an ability to develop appropriate relationships with people and be able to support people to meet their potential.

You'll want to make a positive difference in someone's life and take pride in delivering a quality service.

You'll believe that people have a right to control and define their own lives and see your role as enabling this.

- be 25 years old or over
- have at least 2 years' driving experience
- have a clean driving licence
- have previous experience of driving a minibus or similar vehicle
- have experience of working with or supporting people with a learning disability

About the role:

This is a physical job where there is a requirement to move and position people, some of whom use wheelchairs.

You'll support people with personal care and to do the things they choose to do, both indoors and out in the community, on public transport and doing things like swimming, voluntary work, dance or sports.
