About the role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our External Relations Team to help deliver effective campaigns to raise the profile of The Living Room and protect our brand identity, quality, and reputation on our mission in breaking the cycle of addiction for adults in Hertfordshire through free group therapy.
Copy Writing - You will develop your written communication and marketing skills by writing copy for our digital channels. You will write effectively for The Living Room to engage people interested in attending our services, supporters, and stakeholders.

Social Media - You will be creating engaging and interesting content for our audiences. You will be able to use your creativity to produce effective marketing campaigns, creating your own graphics and being innovative with new content ideas.

Building a Community - Your creations will show people who we are and what we do. You will be able to strengthen our reputation as a non-profit organisation and promote and encourage support to keep our services running.

Personal Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Keen attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A friendly 'can do' approach.

Technical Skills:
Digital literacy - Office 365, Canva, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIN, YouTube, WYSIWYG. Experience of writing for different audiences, including print and digital. Knowledge of Google Analytics and data insight tools. High Standards of written communication.

Time-management Skills: Ability to prioritise, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines. High standards of organisation, initiative, and motivation.
Main Responsibilities:
Communications
- Create and distribute copy for internal and external communications such as news articles, blogs, press releases and newsletters.
- Create our Annual Communications Strategy, containing priorities and objectives in line with The Living Room, Public Health, partnership organisations and health related fields.
- Contribute to the design of the Annual and Impact Reports.
- Promote news and updates via our digital channels.
- Ensure organisation information is accurate and current on external directories.
- Gather case studies and enhance presentation for use across the organisation.
- Update CRM records with new stakeholder details such as newsletter sign ups.
Main Responsibilities:
Marketing
- Create engaging content for digital channels and engage in a timely manner with our audiences.
- Populate our events and awareness calendar.
- Ensure consistency and quality in line with branding guidelines across the organisation.
- Develop and maintain branded assets promoting our services and ensure team members have access to resources when required.
- Create marketing materials both print and digital to raise awareness of our services in our community.
- Analyse our digital impact, suggest areas for improvement and increase reach. Track monthly performance across channels and inform future activity.
- Develop digital content to increase audiences, engagement, and donations.
- Represent The Living Room at events.
