Mechanical Engineer - Medical Devices

The One Group is pleased to be partnering with a cutting edge leading technology business who specialise in the medical and life science sectors.

This company are the best in what they do and the demand for their technology has meant the team are expanding at an impressive rate.

Based in a beautiful location in South Cambridge, the Mechanical Engineer will be working in a multidisciplinary Engineering team. The role is hands on and you will be directly involved in developing and designing the future products

The Mechanical Engineer will be developing solutions across the product development process, from concept to product introduction.

This broad role will involve a range of responsibilities including:

Problem solving and investigation
Product design (CAD)
Developing existing and new products
Creating detailed drawings
Product qualification
Project management

The successful Mechanical Engineer:

Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience in developing components, assemblies, and materials in a manufacturing environment
SolidWorks (or similar)
Experience in injection moulding, tool design and iteration
A hands on engineer with experience of micron scale production
