Description
The Organisation

The Retrofit Academy (TRA) CIC is the driving force in retrofit skills and knowledge.

Retrofit is the process of improving the homes we live in to make them warmer, healthier and to reduce their carbon emissions.

This involves the improvement of the building fabric by installing insulation, improving the ventilation and building services in a property and often the replacement of fossil fuel heating with renewable sources like heat pumps.

A relatively new discipline, TRA is leading the way in the provision of high-quality training and workforce development solutions for the sector.

Our vision is a world where every home is warm, healthy and low carbon and our mission is to train over 200,000 competent retrofitters by 2030.

We have become a key partner to government and industry in the journey towards net zero.

Our values are Practical, Positive, Ethical and Empowering. We are a fast-growing business that has trained over 7,000 retrofitters since 2019, making us the UK market leader. We have received multiple awards recognising our excellence in the development and delivery of high-quality training.
