    Are you a band 5 Physiotherapist with a special interest in Stroke and Neurology.


    In preparation for our move later this year to our brand new Hospital 'Midland Met', we have secured funding to right-size our acute Stroke therapy team to meet the new RCP guidelines for Stroke, and are looking to extend our already thriving therapy family.

    In response to feedback, we have created a brand new band 5 Stroke and Neuro Specialty Rotational Physiotherapists post.

    The successful candidates will have the opportunity to rotate across the acute Stroke and Neurology ward at the new Midland Metropolitan Hospital, our Stroke Rehabilitation ward at Rowley Regis Hospital and our new Integrated Community Stroke Service (ICSS).


    Regular time for training and development -both internal and external - to meet your individual needs and support you to achieve your learning goals will be provided.


    We are looking for individuals who are driven and keen to progress within the specialty and we will support you to develop your core knowledge and skills to prepare you for your future career progression within Stroke and Neurology.

    As rotational Physiotherapist within the Stroke and Neurology therapy team you will gain experience by rotate across our key services:

    Acute Stroke and Neurology - in-patients
    Stroke Rehabilitation - in-patients
    Community Stroke Rehabilitation - Integrated Community Stroke Service

    You will use and develop your core Physiotherapy knowledge and skills to complete neurological assessments, developing patient cantered goals to guide treatment plans and establishing rehabilitation prescriptions.

    Completing assessments and treatment plans for patients with a variety of health conditions and backgrounds.

    To work in an integrated Therapy service that will further develop your skills and knowledge as a holistic practitioner.

    Champion the role of Physiotherapy within the specialist across the department, trust and local area.
    Opportunity to be involved in supervision of students and develop own skills to become a practice educator.
    Access to training, supervision, competency frameworks and professional development groups.

    Broad clinical experience at undergraduate level including rehabilitation
    Experience of working as part of a physiotherapy team and multidisciplinary team
    Understanding of the workings of community physiotherapy services and intermediate care services
    Clear evidence of knowledge, interest and passion of the Stroke and Neuro specialty

    Diploma/degree in Physiotherapy
    Personal qualities
    Car driver with access to a vehicle
