Description

The School of Medicine wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Behavioural Sciences to contribute to course management, course delivery and course development in the area of Behavioural Sciences, and to undertake related research and knowledge transfer activities.

This position is based on the Preston campus, occasional visits to other sites may be necessary.


Working within a committed and enthusiastic team you will contribute to programmes in the School of Medicine, primarily with the Evidence Informed Practice of Medicine (EIPOM) team.

You will support teaching on a broad range of programmes including the undergraduate MBBS course as well as both undergraduate and postgraduate Physician Associate programmes (MPAS and MPAP), with a strong focus on clinical aspect of behavioural sciences.

You will also develop and deliver assessment and evaluation for these programmes.


You must possess excellent communication and presentation skills; have an ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and maintain good working relationships with other professions.

Experience of lecturing, assessment and excellent IT, organisational and communication skills are essential.
