- Supplier Qualification: Lead the evaluation and qualification of semiconductor suppliers, ensuring they meet industry standards and our specific requirements.
- Quality Standards: Define and communicate quality standards, specifications, and expectations to suppliers. Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO/TS 16949 and specific semiconductor manufacturing quality requirements.
- Audits and Assessments: Conduct regular on-site and remote audits of suppliers to assess compliance with quality management systems, process controls, and technical specifications.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance manufacturing processes, reduce defects, and improve overall product quality.
- Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve quality issues promptly, utilizing root cause analysis and corrective action processes. Work closely with suppliers to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage risks associated with supplier processes, ensuring proactive measures are in place to mitigate potential issues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and production, to ensure alignment on quality expectations and drive effective communication with suppliers.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and report on the performance of all suppliers. Implement appropriate metrics to drive accountability and improvement.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about relevant industry regulations and standards related to semiconductor manufacturing. Ensure supplier compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
- Familiarity with supplier management processes, including qualification, evaluation, and performance monitoring.
- Proficient in conducting supplier audits and implementing corrective actions.
- Understands the supplier qualification and selection process, including conducting initial assessments and risk evaluations.
- Understanding of supplier purchasing and order management for work in progress (WIP).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Able to work to tight and dynamic time scales.
- Can plan and manage own workload and assign tasks to others.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring product quality and customer satisfaction.
