What you'll be doing:


Purpose of the role is to own delivery of multiple, diverse, and strategically important initiatives as set out in our delivery roadmap.

The role will involve using multiple change disciplines including Scrum, Waterfall and Hybrid methods. You will be accountable for the full delivery cycle from inception through to benefits realisation.

This includes building out and owning detailed plans and managing execution in line with agreed cadence routines where the delivery will be run on sound delivery principles, managing, and monitoring the schedule, scope and quality.

Risks, actions, assumptions, issues and decisions will be managed and controlled to ensure delivery of each initiative meets defined business objectives.


Responsibilities

Delivery Management

  • End to end delivery management from planning through to mobilisation and delivery.
  • Identify the most appropriate delivery method for each initiative (Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid)
  • Work with Product Owner and Business Analyst to drive clear initiative scope, prioritised requirements / user Stories.
  • Ensure full stakeholder engagement up front with a structured mobilisation of each initiative.
  • Develop delivery estimates and plans for each initiative.
  • Identify, record and manage initiative risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies
  • Run delivery routines including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand ups and retrospectives.
  • Drive teams to deliver the required sprint goal / delivery outcomes.
  • Prepare and update status reports to senior stakeholders.
  • Monitor costs, timescales and resources used, and acts where these deviate from agreed tolerances.
  • Work with the business to ensure full readiness before each initiative is deployed.
  • Prepare implementation plans / schedule of events where applicable to ensure controlled deployment.
  • Ensure initiatives are handed into BAU for benefits realisation.

Stakeholder Management

  • Ensure all stakeholders (internal and external) understand their role and responsibilities and ensure they are held accountable for delivery.
  • Bring together Technical and Product stakeholders to ensure product vision is clearly understood and traceable from requirement through to delivered product.
  • Influences Product Owner & stakeholders to make the appropriate decisions and modifications in response to external influences on each initiative.
  • Supplier / Partner engagement and management where required.

Other

  • Collaborate with the change team to develop and refine the delivery approach & toolsets.
  • Support mentoring of POD / Scrum team members, share industry expertise to upskill existing Chetwood Change team members.
  • Defines, communicates, and champions Chetwood's ways of working to deliver the desired project outcomes.
