Hygiene Supervisor

4 Days on 4 Days off (Night Shift)

Our continued success comes from our dedicated workforce, and we are now recruiting for a Hygiene Supervisor to join our Milton Keynes site, manage a team of Hygiene Operatives and Team Leaders whilst ensuring the highest standards of hygiene cleaning are consistently set and maintained.


As an experienced Supervisor, you will train, develop, and engage your team members, supporting them to achieve and exceed the highest industry standards in relation to health & safety, employee welfare, and hygiene food safety.


Shift: 4 Days on 4 Days off (Including Weekends and Public Holidays)

Key Accountabilities:


  • Team management to include: identifying development needs, absence management, motivation, and investigations in accordance with site policies and procedures
  • Lead by example, displaying behaviours consistent with Cranswick's organisational culture
  • Ensure timely completion of scheduled cleaning/deep cleaning of departmental machinery, equipment, environments, and production lines
  • Ensure the team operates in a safe manner in conjunction with implemented cleaning, and safety instructions
  • Identify and report any safety, quality, engineering, or hygiene issues
  • Ensure all practices and procedures are carried out in line with relevant policy
  • Health & Safety policy and HACCP plan
  • Ensure that a high level of cleanliness is maintained throughout the facility, paying attention to fixtures, fittings, and signage
  • Ensure detailed cleaning of warehouse barrier work, racking, and picking slots to ensure optimum levels of food safety and hygiene.
  • Ensure clear documentation of all work is provided and maintained
  • Ensure approved only electrical / mechanical cleaning equipment/materials are in use
  • Support the wider Facilities and Site functions as required
  • Any other reasonable work tasks as requested

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications:


  • Previous Team/Leader/People Management experience
  • Experience gained from previous Hygiene roles
  • FMCG/Food industry advantageous
  • Ability to successfully work and prioritise workload within a fastmoving environment
  • Ability to work as part of team and under own initiative
  • Ability to accurately understand and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail
