Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialisation in Geography.
Strong subject knowledge in Geography curriculum and teaching methods.
Experience teaching Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4.
Ability to lead and inspire a team of Geography teachers.
Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
Commitment to promoting the values and ethos of the school.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will lead the Geography department, overseeing curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessment.
They will mentor and support Geography teachers, promoting high standards of teaching and learning.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure cross-curricular opportunities and enrichment activities in Geography.
Monitor student progress and implement strategies to support student achievement and engagement in Geography.
Organise and participate in Geography-related events, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
Lead by example in upholding the school's policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and behaviour management.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
