- Manage client and tenant monies, ensuring accurate allocation of funds received.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Oversee the banking facility and manage rent collection processes.
- Maintain cashbook spreadsheets and conduct weekly payments to Clients/Suppliers.
- Register and insure tenant deposits, as well as reconcile tenant deposit returns.
- Prepare and send out client statements and monthly management reports.
- Handle overseas Landlord tax requirements.
- Process and pay invoices onto the system daily/weekly.
- Receive and process purchase invoices, obtaining approval when necessary.
- Create schedules and reports as requested by Directors and Accountants.
- Assist accountants with the annual audit.
- Address client or tenant queries via telephone, email, or face to face.
- Regularly use Excel spreadsheets to manage financial data.
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in Lettings accounts/bookkeeping.
- Strong IT skills and experience with property management software (e.g., Jupix, CFP, Repit) is beneficial.
- Highly numerate with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Proven bookkeeping experience and a solid understanding of basic bookkeeping principles.
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
- Good concentration and an eye for detail.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- A qualification in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is preferred.
- AAT certification is also preferred
