Prototype Auto Electrician

• Department: Vehicle Manufacturing

• Location: Wellesbourne Onsite Fulltime

• Contract type: 3 Months Rolling Contract

• Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday: 6am – 2pm & 2pm – 1am (rotating weekly)

We are looking for experienced Prototype Auto Electricians to work with one of our prestigious vehicle manufacturers. For you to be successful in this position you will be responsible for the below, but not limited to:

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for manufacture, test, commission and install a wide range of electrical installations such as wiring harnesses, panels, instrumentation to the prototype vehicles

• Following or working according to the vehicle standards as provided

• Following and working according to design drawings

• Supporting a wide range of electrical/instrumentation with various unit under tests (UUT's) utilising an array of electrical equipment, wiring and sensors.

• Diagnose electrical problems including fault-finding, rewiring and monitoring across the test field.

• Responsible for service, calibration, inspection and inventory management of wiring, sensors, and measurement equipment.

• Contribute to the design, development and documentation of electrical installations across the Test Field

• Responsible for reporting all defects and repairs or rework conducted

Requirements:

• Qualified in Level 3 in Electrical or Motor Vehicle Engineering

• PHEV qualified (IMI level 2 minimum)

• Experience within the Automotive Vehicle Manufacturing Industry

• Proven previous experience as a Auto electrician

• Previous proven working experience with EV and PHEV Vehicles at Prototype

• Proven experience with a wide range of small-scale cable and connector types

• Be able to resolve faults based on electrical drawings and schematics.

• Working in a busy fast paced environment

• Excellent attention to detail

• Experienced in using reporting systems

• Good communication skills, teamworking abilities and initiative

• Adhering to all Company standard operating procedures

• Adhering to all health and safety procedures

• Working according to the company quality and housekeeping standards

• Must have Hi-Vis and safety footwear

• Clean UK/ or equivalent Driving Licence

• RTW in the UK without restrictions (PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT OFFER SPONSORSHIP)
