    Field-Based Onsite Machinist


    We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Field-Based Onsite Machinist to join our team at an oil and gas company.

    The Field-Based Onsite Machinist will be responsible for performing precision machining operations, repairs, and maintenance on equipment and components at various locations, including offshore platforms, refineries, and drilling sites.

    This role requires extensive travel and the ability to work in remote and challenging environments while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

    Perform on-site machining operations including but not limited to:


    • Repairing and refurbishing damaged equipment and components.
    • Machining new parts to replace worn or obsolete components.
    • Modifying existing equipment to meet specific project requirements.
    • Utilize portable machining tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, drills, and hydraulic equipment to achieve precise machining tolerances.
    Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work instructions to determine machining requirements


    • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to plan and execute machining tasks according to project schedules and client needs.
    *A company car will also be included*Maintain accurate records of machining activities, including work performed, materials used, and quality assurance data.


    • Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend solutions to optimize machining processes and achieve desired outcomes
