    Job summary

    We have a very exciting opportunity for a self starting Shift Maintenance Lead with a drive to see works through to completion.

    This post is key to the effective implementation of our reactive maintenance services across the Trust.

    You will be part of a close knit, multi skilled team on a rotating shift pattern, tackling the most technical challenges on site.

    Working on both breakdowns and PPMs on the infrastructure across the Trust, the post holder will be at the forefront of the estates team.

    Main duties of the job

    The successful candidate will be responsible for..

  • Responsible for the Building services (heating, cooling, ventilation, hot and cold-water services) and equipment to reduce and avoid emergency situations, by ensuring statutory maintenance is carried out on the Mechanical systems.
  • Responsible for diagnosing and identifying faults in complicated engineering systems, building installations, plant and equipment.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all new plant and equipment is maintained.
  • Provide technical advice and support to building services and mechanical and electrical systems, to service users, designers and to liaise with relevant teams within the directorate on all aspects of new building and mechanical engineering projects including design and service brief.
  • Conducting wide ranging PPMs on the Trust's critical infrastructure
  • Leadership of shift partner, installing 'what good looks like' and 'right first time' into the team.
  • Communication of incidents or risks to the duty engineering manager.
