    Maintenance Engineer

    Location: Derby

    Salary: £50,000 per annum + O.T

    Job Type: Permanent

    Shifts: 4 on 4 off, 2 days, 2 nights, 5 till 5

    Job Summary:

    We are in need of a Maintenance Engineer with expertise in a variety of skills to operate within the food production sector. The ideal candidate must display adeptness in both electrical and mechanical domains, along with holding a Level 3 qualification in electrical and mechanical engineering.

    Responsibilities:

    • Carry out regular maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment in our modern food production facility.
    • Identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues, implementing effective solutions for uninterrupted operations.
    • Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
    • Strictly adhere to safety protocols, performing safety checks to uphold a secure working environment.
    • Work closely with the maintenance team to keep all equipment operational and efficient.
    • Participate in equipment installations and upgrades as needed to stay current with industry norms.
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
    • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize production downtime.
    • Follow company policies, procedures, and quality standards to preserve our outstanding reputation.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Maintenance Engineer in food production or manufacturing.
    • Completion of ONC/HNC or an equivalent recognized apprenticeship in electrical and/or mechanical engineering.
    • Proficiency in pneumatics; familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) is a plus.
    • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, keen attention to detail, and the capability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
    • Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with safety guidelines.
