- Primary responsibility to ensure timely delivery of vehicle features into programmes, identifying and removing any roadblocks that may prevent success.
- Manage vehicle test plans, including detailed planning of test and development stages through to sign off and support Engineering test teams with rectification of issues.
- Resolve issues with component engineering and vehicle attribute teams to develop designs that meet targets.
- Ensure all appropriate JLR standards are met through-out design maturation.
- Lead new feature development.
- Keep all feature documentation up to date including: Feature statements of intent Quality history & market feedback Confluence
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested.
- Drive feature maturity status to target level for key programme milestones.
- Identification and communication of critical paths and dependencies within vehicle program plan
- Lead resolution of key integration issues to assist achieving ESO for all features on time.
- Close alignment with vehicle program planners/core VE team to communicate and align status and plans.
- Significant experience in the integration and delivery of electrical, electromechanical or software systems.
- Demonstrated experience of technical analysis and employing best-in-class processes in engineering.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills – able to collaboratively influence delivery teams across the engineering function.
- Thorough understanding and experience of key vehicle systems and whole vehicle systems engineering.
- Proven ability to interpret and use technical data along with business skills with technical decision-making.
- Experience of engineering product delivery using project management techniques.
- Experience of managing individual performance and team management.
