And we are counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.

The growth of our Consulting business and the increasing importance of Quality and Risk Management has created a need for a Manager in the firm's Quality and Risk Management team. We are looking for a high-performing, meticulous and enthusiastic candidate to join this new team. You will be given a large degree of autonomy and responsibility to lead meetings and propose solutions and new ways of doing things.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a relatively new Quality and Risk Management team within EY Ireland's Consulting business. This is a Dublin or Belfast-based role which will provide support to EY's Ireland Consulting business on risk management and service quality matters.

You will help provide our client engagement teams with support and advice to enable them to deliver the highest quality services to their clients, and to manage the risks involved in providing those services. You will also provide risk and quality solutions to the business and become a trusted adviser of stakeholders (at senior level, including engagement partners). You will be expected to assess and understand how firm risks can be best managed and mitigated.

    Your responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Report directly to the Ireland Consulting Quality Leader
  • Being pro-active in identifying and driving forward initiatives which help to streamline processes and mitigate risk for the business
  • Development and delivery of training on Quality and Risk Management areas
  • Assist engagement teams when they are setting up new clients and new engagements to include –

  • Assist with the running and enhancement of the Quality performance management process for all Ireland Consulting Partners and Associate Partners
  • Preparation and issuing of communications and insights to the business and partner group
  • Preparation of monthly Quality and Risk Mgmt reports, to include analysing basic data sets
  • Reviewing client contracts / engagement letters to identify clauses that are not in line with firm policy, and to identify areas where such contracts could be strengthened.
  • Manage our monthly in-flight engagement reviews. This will involve reviewing contracts and internal risk approvals to ensure (a) that engagement teams are complying with internal risk policy(s); and (b) to provide engagement teams with recommendations and advice on how they can improve their risk practices going forward
  • Liaising with internal Risk Management teams on an ongoing basis to include Independence, Legal, Financial Crime and Risk Management
  • Liaising with Consulting engagement teams, including Engagement Partners, on identifying and resolving quality, legal and risk management concerns
  • What we look for

At EY we look for highly motivated individuals who are good communicators, who can think on their feet and who can confidently present to senior management. We also look for team players who are not only looking to enhance their own career but recognise the value in developing others and strengthening the team.

For this role we are looking for people with Service Quality / Risk Management / or general legal experience in a Big 4 (or comparable) environment.

You should have the following skills:

  • High level of enthusiasm, energy, and personal integrity
