In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring effective risk management for B2B mainly by supporting sanctions compliance initiatives in end-to-end operations as well as SOX compliance and occasionally other various business projects.
This role establishes high standards for business controls and regulatory compliance oversight through partnering with different Expedia Group teams (e.g. Sales, Enterprise Risk & Security, Legal, SOX compliance) to guide our ongoing business practices.Acquire a good understanding of our different lines of business' systems and processes to ensure proper sanctions and SOX compliance and propose process improvements
Support SOX compliance program and control owners to ensure controls are operating effectively
Support sanctions compliance by identifying, interdicting, calling out, and reporting activity prohibited by sanctions regulation, as required
Ensure B2B data is adequately screened for sanctions and regulatory requirements of sanctions programs are met
When needed, suggest remediation plans and actively implement them with product, legal and operational teams for both SOX compliance and sanctions compliance
Support contract compliance ad-hoc tasks
Participate in ad-hoc projects
Coordinate and raise blocking issues to senior management when required
Work closely with multiple teams and our travel partners
Bachelor's degree in related field
A minimum of three years of experience working in global corporate environments with experience in regulatory and/or SOX compliance; risk and controls and related practices.
Knowledge of IT controls including data management, technology and systems is a strong plusAbility to make and influence decisions using data and good business judgement
Ability to partner effectively with team members from diverse functional areas & backgrounds to embed effective practice within the business and build effective working relationships
