Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide speech and language therapy assessment and intervention to adultswith a learning disability who are referred to the South Kent Coast and Thanet community LearningDisability team.
As a Speech and Language Therapist within the Learning Disability Team you will beexpected to provide evidence-based, autonomous and effective Speech and Language Therapyassessment and intervention for people who have a learning disability who may also have additionalphysical and mental health needs.
You will work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team and giveclinical advice and support to other professionals, support workers and the clients' care will supervise the work of our speech and language therapy associate practitioners. Caseloadallocation along with clinical roles and responsibilities will be commensurate with the post bandingfor successful candidates.
