Vickerstock are working in partnership with a supplier of materials to the construction industry on the appointment of a Buyer.

Starting salary up to £38,000 Annual bonus Hybrid working Flexitime Other additional perks In your new role:Sourcing new suppliers Build relationships with new and existing suppliers, negotiating best price and lead time whilst continually monitoring performance Carrying out audits with suppliers to ensure they meet the standards required Support remote sites on direct and indirect purchasing requirements Frequently liaise with the planning department to ensure the smooth day to day running of the business Compile data to report on material prices, stock levels, and ad hoc reports to support effective purchasing Generate purchase orders to meet manufacturing requirements with use of the MRP Daily review of MRP requirements, managing directly with suppliers to meet production requirements What you will need to succeed: A minimum of 1 years purchasing experience with a fast paced, procurement department A good understanding of warehouse management, tendering processes A proven track record of success in sourcing new suppliers and carrying out cost saving project For a confidential conversation on how Vickerstock can support you with your next move, get in touch with Chris our Supply Chain specialist today
