Overtime
- Provide anestimate of arrival time at customer's site in response to servicerequest based on the job instructions from Branch giving details ofcustomer location, machine, contact name and nature of problem andcurrent work situation.
- Contact customer's sitemanagement in order to register arrival and presence on site andensure knowledge of customer procedures so as to adhere to siterequirements.
- Diagnose the likely cause ofreported equipment problems, in discussion with customeroperators/supervisors and using specialised equipment, in order toprovide the customer with an information for the workrequired. Provide a comprehensive detail to allow Finning toconstruct a quote as requested by thecustomer.
- Identify the parts required to carryout the repair and requisition any parts and determine expectedtime of delivery so that a date and time of any necessary servicere-visit can be agreed with customer.
- Undertakerepair and service work on the machine to the agreed work plan,removing and despatching components for specialist attention andre-installing the original or replacement, to bring the machine upto the requiredstandards.
- Identify the minimumskills that are required of the job or position (not the employee)to perform the job successfully andcompetently.
- Work autonomously on owninitiative and also well as part of ateam
- Strong communication & interpersonalskills and ability to build positive relationships across alllevels of the business.

- Undertakea local site risk assessment prior to commencing servicework
- preparing an appropriate method statementin line with standard situation procedures and principles, ordiscuss rectification of site circumstances with customer and/orFinning supervisor so that all work is carried out in accordancewith health and safety requirements.
- Inspectand test completed machine to ensure unit is operating to expectedperformance levels, reporting any further defects or suspectconditions to the customer to support the ongoing operationaleffectiveness of the machine.
- Finish theservice reports and warranty documentation to enable the correctand timely charging of the customer and suppliers. Ensurecompliance with all Health and Safety policies andprocedures.

- LDV drivinglicence
- Formally apprenticedtrained (NVQ Level 3) and served as an engineer for a significantperiod in a relevant industry, i.e Electric Power, powergeneration,Marine
