    Specific Duties

    The Principal Development Engineer will work closely with the development team assigned to each bid and be responsible for specific duties as follows:

  • Bid Development:Identify Energy Conservation Measures (ECM) at potential customer sitesCarry out energy audits and surveysPrepare preliminary capital cost and energy savings models for each ECMAttend regular client project meetingsPrepare the technical write up for inclusion in bid submissionPresent technical solutions at bid meetings
  • High Level Appraisals:Assessment of existing system configuration and operation at client sites.Compilation and analysis of dataConceptual design of energy related projectsPreliminary constructability assessment and project risk assessmentPrepare capital and operating cost budgetsDetailed energy savings calculationsPreparation of final report and presentation
  • Investment Grade AuditsFurther definition of solutions from High Level Appraisal stage including on-site assessments as necessaryConstructability assessmentProject risk assessmentFinalise solution selectionPrepare full equipment list with performance/sizing/selection for key energy equipment, all major pipework lines, pumps (including pressure capabilities), heat exchangers including definition of control philosophyPrepare P & ID, layout and scheme drawingsProduce an outline work package for contractor to provide pricing and assess accordinglyDevelop savings calculations and pricing to +/- 10% for project capital approval

    • General Duties as follows:

  • To update the company work monitoring systems with accurate details
  • Assist in improving operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
  • General office duties

    • Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Engineering degree preferably in chemical, mechanical or electrical

    Achieved or working towards chartered engineer status

    Minimum of 5 years' experience of energy related or field engineer work for an Energy Services Business

    Experience working on UK Public Sector Tender Frameworks including ReFiT, Essentia, CEF, SNDEE advantageous.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project scheduling tools

    Personal Attributes:

    The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, confident and have a flexible approach to work. They will be customer focused, passionate about energy efficiency and renewable energy. They should be able to demonstrate good organisational skills including the ability to multi-task, prioritise work under pressure and complete within deadlines. The job requires the willingness to travel across UK and Europe, while based in Central London.
