    We currently have vacancies at our Health Based Place Of Safety (HBPoS) and are looking for Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurses who are looking for a new challenge to work within our HBPoSbased at St. Charles Hospital in the Borough of Kensington and Chelsea with good transport links.

    The post holder will oversee nursing procedures to a standard that ensures safe and effective care and complies with The Nursing and Midwifery Council's Code of Professional Conduct. There is an expectation that the post holder will place the needs of service users at the centre of care delivery in accordance with the Pan London 136 Guidance and relevant Trust Policies. The HBPoS Manager will be a visible, accessible and authoritative presence in clinical areas providing assistance, advice and support to staff, patients, relatives, carers & visitors.

    We are a 24/7 service & we are staffed by a dedicated multidisciplinary team. The Health based Place of Safety service (HBPOS) is one of the points of admission in the Trust for all persons requiring care in a hospital-based place of safety.

    Main duties of the job

    HBPOS team is responsible for:

  • Providing care to persons admitted to the Place of Safety in accordance with the Place of Safety Care Pathway.
  • Facilitating a Mental Health Act assessment within a specified time frame.
  • Formulating a discharge or transfer plan that provides the appropriate level of on-going care.
  • Ensuring the safety & wellbeing of all users of the service.

  • In addition to the above you will be expected to adopt the "Bleep Holder Role" as required where you will act as the Unit Coordinator.
