    The Company:


    With a successful history that spans five decades, Aquaspersions is recognized as a world leader in the manufacture of aqueous dispersions and emulsions.

    Operating from three factories based across Europe, Asia and North America, the company is a high-quality manufacturer supplying innovative products to the coatings, polymers, adhesives and rubber sectors.

    In 2021, led by the company's CEO, Aquaspersions achieved a management buy-out from the previous family owners.

    They are now embarking on a new, exciting chapter in their development and to support these growth plans are seeking a board-level Director who has the leadership attributes to drive the innovation strategy and technical functions.


    The Role:

    • Deliver and provide support in the development and execution of the Group-wide innovation strategy as defined by the board, in line with commercial strategy for the business to achieve growth and margin targets.
    • Collaborate with the commercial team to jointly initiate ideas for new products that directly impact delivery of the commercial strategy which delivers growth targets and meets the needs of the customer base.
    • Provide leadership to the Group Technical functions across the UK, Malaysia and US sites to deliver high standards and levels of service for technical & QC.
    • Oversight of the regulatory function, with specific responsibility for new regulatory compliance projects

    Candidate Profile:

    • Must be qualified to degree level with a minimum of five years technical leadership experience in the chemicals industry (coatings, adhesives, polymer, pigments, additives).
    • Significant regulatory knowledge/experience
    • Experience of creating and delivering innovation strategies to achieve commercial growth.
    • Working with customers to deliver innovation.
    • Deep understanding of polymers
    • Good business sense with ability to think strategically and implement the technical strategy as set out by the board.
    • Strong leadership and people management skills.
    • Able to prioritise projects and workload for self and the technical team.
