- Leading and managing complex technology and innovation projects in the life sciences sector, at the enabling stage (could include laboratories, data centres, biotech facilities, etc.)
- Developing and implementing project strategies, plans and budgets
- Establishing and maintaining effective processes and systems to be utilised throughout the project
- Monitoring and reporting on project progress and other performance indicators
- Managing and mitigating risks and issues
- Preparing and delivering written project communication materials
- Preparing and presenting formal project progress and other reports
- Managing and coordinating the client, contractors and designers
- Attending and chairing meetings and drafting minutes, etc
- Other responsibilities, to include:
- Developing and delivering presentation materials for client pitches, etc
- Managing and updating key information into the Turner & Townsend internal database
- Relevant qualification (project management or construction management)
- Ideally NEC accredited Project Manager
- Member of a chartered institute e.g., RICS or happy to work towards
- Good knowledge of construction industry themes such as MMC, Net Zero Carbon and Digital agenda
- Good knowledge of project lifecycle and business case approvals process
- Ideally experience of working on technology / innovation projects
- What experience we are looking for
- Extensive knowledge of and experience in large scale technology and innovation projects in the life sciences sector (8 years)
- Experience of master planning/strategic estate development and capital project planning for business case compilation is desirable.
- Detailed experience of NEC contract administration is desirable
- Demonstrable experience in client-facing roles at all levels (including Directors of Technology/Strategy and Planning/Capital Development to stakeholders and end-users)

Turner & Townsend is currently recruiting for Senior Project Managers to join our Life Science Real Estate Team.
With a market leading client base and the opportunity to take the lead on immediate commissions, this is an exciting time to join the business unit and grow a career with Turner & Townsend.
This role is client facing, working within a professional and ambitious team, where you will receive excellent support. We have brought our brightest minds together to respond to our client's Project and Programme management objectives.
