TheRole
An exciting role has beencreated for a Vendor Booking and Freight Associate to join ourgrowing Operations team to lead and ensure a successful executionof the inbound operational functions.
Through ourpartnership profile and exciting growing mainline the demand forCastore is seeing us partner with the biggest retailers in themarket as well as developing a distribution network on a globalscale. This role will play an integral role in helping us deliveragainst our ambitious growth targets in this hugely strategicchannel for our business.
Responsibilities
Developnew & maintain existing relationships with external FreightForwarders 3PLs & internal stakeholders across alldepartments
Monitor compare and report on freightforwarder performance within agreed SLAs
Monitor compareand report on freight forwarder costs and rates
Managevendor bookings
Review and check commercialdocumentation
Work closely with Supply Chain team givingvisibility of inbound deliveries to the 3PL
Distribute aweekly shipment status report highlighting areas ofrisk
Weekly product data maintenance ensuring all productinformation for the open orderbook is accurate across allsystems
Constantly driving for improvements andefficiencies through theteam
Skills &Qualities
EssentialKnowledge and Experience:
Experienceof working in a similar role
Knowledge ofcommercial documentation and shippingterms
Experience of warehouse management andfreight forwarder TMS
Ability to workcrossfunctionally liaising with peer groups across the business todrive efficiencies and results
Ability to workwithin strict deadlines and able to be adaptive tochanges
Comfortable in a fastpaced andeverchanging business environment
Excellentplanning and organisation skills
Flexibleapproach and willingness to further learn & adapt in a fastpace growing business
Computer literacy(Microsoft suite) Excel WordOutlook
