    Overview:

    The SAP HCM Payroll Architect is a specialized role focused on the design, development, and implementation of SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) Payroll solutions. The professional in this role is responsible for ensuring that the SAP payroll system aligns with the organization's business requirements and processes, while providing guidance and expertise on best practices.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Lead the design and implementation of SAP HCM Payroll systems for enterprise-level clients.

    Analyze and document business requirements and transform them into SAP Payroll system specifications.

    Develop and configure SAP Payroll modules to meet the desired business outcomes, including payroll calculation rules, schemas, and wage types.

    Provide guidance on integration issues between SAP HCM Payroll and other SAP modules like Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO).

    Perform customizations and enhancements within the SAP HCM module, emphasizing payroll.

    Ensure legal compliance in payroll processes for various countries and regions.

    Lead workshops and training sessions to transfer knowledge to the in-house SAP team.

    Provide post-implementation support, trouble-shooting, and maintaining SAP payroll solutions.

    Work closely with other architects and developers to ensure consistency and quality of solutions.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's or master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, HR Management, or a related field.

    At least 10-17 years of experience in SAP HCM Payroll design and configuration.

    Proven experience with multiple full life-cycle SAP payroll implementations.

    Deep understanding of payroll functional and technical processes in SAP.

    Expertise in payroll areas such as gross-to-net calculation, tax reporting and compliance, benefits deduction, and garnishment processing.

    Knowledge of the integration points with other SAP modules (FI, CO, Time Management, etc.).

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.

    SAP Certification in HCM Payroll is highly desirable.

    Competencies:

    Ability to translate business needs into practical implementations of SAP HCM solutions.

    Demonstrate strong leadership and mentorship skills to lead project teams.

    Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SAP product lifecycle and future innovations in payroll technology.

    Work effectively in a complex, fast-paced environment.

    Strong commitment to professional client service excellence.
