As a Storeperson, you will play a crucial role in managing the movement and storage of materials and equipment within their facility.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, as well as maintaining an organised and safe warehouse environment.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Storeperson to join our client who are a specialised machinery manufacturing company in the UK.
As a Storeperson, you will play a crucial role in managing the movement and storage of materials and equipment within their facility.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, as well as maintaining an organised and safe warehouse environment.
Safely and efficiently operate a Counterbalance FLT to unload, load, and move materials and equipment within the warehouse.Receive incoming goods, inspect packages for damages, verify quantities, and accurately record details in the inventory management system.
Safely perform physical tasks such as labeling, sorting, counting, and packaging materials as per company standards.
Organise and maintain inventory storage areas, ensuring proper labeling, organization, and cleanliness.
Conduct regular stock checks, highlighting discrepancies or shortages, and update inventory records accordingly.
Collaborate with the purchasing and production teams to ensure materials and equipment are available when needed.
Assist in preparing goods for dispatch, ensuring accuracy of order details, and coordinating with logistics personnel.
Perform general warehouse duties, such as equipment maintenance, stock rotation, and disposal of waste materials.
Valid Counterbalance FLT (Forklift Truck) license is desirable.
Proven experience as a Storeperson or in a similar role within a manufacturing or warehouse environment, preferably in an engineering enviroment.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems are desirable.We are different to other agencies as we commit ourselves to working in and outside of office hours to ensure we are proactively finding the best talent on the market.
