    Water Hygiene Technician

    Contract: Key Account Network

    Location: Staffordshire

    Hours of work: 40

    Contract Type: Permanent

    One of the UK's leading Facilities Management Engineering providers are currently seeking a skilled Water Hygiene Technician to join their expanding specialist water division.

    ​In this role, you'll be responsible for carrying out a variety of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks, including legionella risk assessments and minor remedial and water treatment tasks.

    Job Description

    The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in the water industry and possess the necessary training and qualifications to perform tasks safely, efficiently, and competently.

    As Water Hygiene Technician, you will conduct legionella PPM tasks such as tank inspections, shower cleaning and descaling, and legionella sampling, in addition to completing legionella risk assessments and minor remedial tasks where appropriate.

    Reporting directly to the Specialist Water Compliance Manager, you'll be tasked with completing all PPM tasks and legionella risk assessments within the Midlands region, with occasional travel beyond as required by business needs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • PPM tasks to include: CWST inspection, legionella / TVC sampling, shower head C&D, Closed system sampling, TMV maintenance etc
    • Legionella risk assessments including creation of schematic diagrams
    • Clean and disinfection works
    • Minor remedial / plumbing works
    • Fault finding and servicing skills for various water systems and components
    • Accurate and detailed reporting using a tablet, Word, Visio, and Outlook

    Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

    • Experience in the water treatment industry and legionella control
    • Have experience with completing PPM tasks, legionella risk assessments, minor remedial works, and clean and disinfection work
    • Hold relevant training certificates
    • Ability to communicate clearly – written, verbal, and electronically
    • Professional and positive outlook required
