Social Value Consultant or Senior Consultant - London, United Kingdom - RealWorth
Description
Job DescriptionSalary £35,000 to £50,000 plus benefits
RealWorth is a Social Value Consultancy and we are looking for someone to join our fast-growing London team. We help organisations identify, optimise, measure and communicate the social value of buildings, places and programmes to positively impact the world.
Our work is primarily in the built environment, with development companies, local authorities and local government bodies, in the UK and internationally. We aim to create lasting positive social change wherever possible and have applied our services to sports clubs, entertainment venues and social enterprises.
What we are looking for:
We are a close-knit team with expertise in town planning, research, development management, and social impact assessment. We are seeking a self-motivated and independent individual passionate about inclusivity in the built environment to join the RealWorth team.
We are trying to find the right person for one of two roles.
Applicants for the consultant role should have a minimum of two years' experience in social impact and/or strategic urban development.
Applicants for the senior consultant role should have a minimum of five years' experience in social impact and/or strategic urban development.
Applicants for both roles should also:
o Be genuinely interested in urbanism, the built environment and social impact
o Be comfortable working independently
o Be flexible and able to adapt to company needs, even if tasks fall beyond the core job description
o Be interested in and keen to participate in developing and growing a scale-up business
o Be personable and confident in social professional settings
Core responsibilities:
We are looking for someone who shares our passion and commitment to making the built environment a force for good. The successful candidate will have experience in, and understanding of, social values, research and the built environment. They will also be well placed to maintain lasting and trusted relationships with our clients and be able to manage and lead their own projects and workstreams.
Typical tasks for our Social Value Consultants include:
· Providing advice to clients on how to create better, more inclusive places
· Engaging with stakeholders to understand local needs to inform decision-making
· Assessing the social impact of projects, programmes and policies through data analysis
· Carrying out policy and socio-economic research
· Managing client relationships and developing new opportunities to work with existing and prospective clients
· Contributing to and in some cases leading on outputs, such as proposals and reports
· Managing day-to-day project coordination
To be successful you'll need:
It might also help if you have:
We are keen to make this role attractive and open to candidates who have physical, mental or other impairments or may have otherwise faced barriers to entering employment. We will consider making appropriate levels of adjustments to allow such people to apply for this role and join our team where this can be done in parallel with continuing to meet the needs of our business.
Why RealWorth?
With us, you'll do work that matters. We're a consultancy business, but as a B-Corp, our purpose goes much further than making a profit. With us, you'll have the opportunity to develop and work with a team around you to help improve people's lives and to build stronger communities.
We want to create an inclusive work environment where everyone can contribute their best work and develop to their full potential. We welcome applications from all backgrounds.
Other advantages to working with us include:
· Flexible working
· Wellbeing allowance
· A policy of 'employee giving back' to local charities
· Regular employee away days
· Competitive salary and paid expenses
· Generous and flexible leave entitlement
