    Description
    Bailey Employment Services are recruiting for an experienced Mechanically Biased Engineer for our client near Howden in a permanent, full time role.

    You and the rest of engineering team would be responsible for the maintenance and repair of Production machinery, process equipment, buildings and site civils. Welding and fabricating on various skips and trailers.

    Essential Skills:
    • Comfortable with / experience in working at height
    • Flexibility to provide on-call support and duties outside of normal working hours
    • Relevant Engineering qualification held or working towards, and/or minimum of 12 months 'time served' experience in a similar role
    • Ability to read and interpret all Engineering Drawings; Development and Implementation of 'Safe Systems of Work'
    • Driving licence due to remote location and for visits to suppliers/contractors etc. may be required
    Desirable Skills:
    • Fork Lift; Telehandler; MEWP
    • WAMITAB qualified; 18th Edition; Fabricating; Welding
    Responsibilities:
    • Adherence to safe working practices and company procedures
    • Timely response to breakdowns and High quality of maintenance and repair
    • A proactive approach to improving machinery efficiency and effectiveness
    • Completing planned maintenance tasks and recording of corrective actions on the computer-based maintenance system
    • Supervise contractors ensuring safe systems of work are followed
    • Completing pump repairs / refurbishment and any new installations and fabrications work
    • Ensure stock levels are maintained to a reasonable economic level, ensuring common failure parts are available by identifying parts required and upcoming issues are identified to the Engineering Leader

    Pay, Hours and Benefits:
    • Starting salary of £37,000
    • Monday to Friday
    • 40 hours per week, with an on call element covering out of hours including weekends
