Religious Studies Teacher

Flexible from April July 2024, temp to perm contract available for the right candidate

We are working closely with a Secondary School situated in a suburb of Bedfordshire, easily accessible from Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes.

This is a growing, modern Academy part of a nationwide successful Trust.

They are recruiting for a Religious Studies Teacher - ideally a Qualified Teacher who specialises in either Religious Studies, Philosophy or Ethics who is available for a temporary contract for the Summer Term, with the view to continue if the school is the right fit.

The role would involve teaching mainly Religious Studies classes, with the timeable tailored to your subject specialist knowledge, predominantly to Year - Year 10 GCSE classes (KS3/4) - you may also support other Humanities departments with cover.

Contract

On this full-time contract, you will be treated like a permanent member of staff with access to all CPD opportunities as well as PPA time included on your timetable.

You would be expected to plan, mark and deliver Religious Studies lessons to your timetabled devised of KS3 and KS4 classes with PPA time included.

You would be paid to the National Teacher Pay Scale salary between M- M6 on a daily rate equivalent and paid weekly.

QTS or PGCE Qualification
Humanities Teacher with at least 1 years experience teaching up to KS4 in either Geography, History or Religious Studies
Be passionate about teaching Geography and promoting learning in Humanities for excellent results
Be able to plan and deliver creative and stimulating lessons
