About us:
This position is hosted by the Department of Civil Environmental and Geomatic Engineering (CEGE) within the Centre for Transport Studies (CTS).
CTS includes research in Transport and Health, Environment, Railway Engineering, Logistics, Policy implementation, Data Analysis, Intelligent Mobility, and People-Environment-Activity Interactions.
Furthermore, extensive collaborations exist in areas of complex infrastructure systems as well as safety. We also have three Laboratories (Intelligent Mobility, Person-Environment-Activity Research Laboratory (PEARL), and Controlled Active Ventilation Environment (CAVE)). We are passionate about inclusive and equitable mobility, so that people can live in a humane and healthy world.About the role:
We are seeking a new member of our team to contribute research and teaching in the area of mobility and its relationships with health, people and society.
This appointment coincides with the launch of our new Masters programme in Transport and Mobility Systems (TMS) in September 2023, which enables us to create innovations in teaching and research in these areas.
The position is one of the academic positions associated to PEARL, and in the first instance will involve taking responsibility for two modules in the TMS programme:Transport and Health and Transport, People and Society.
About you:
You will be an inspirational leader able to develop your thinking, ideas, attitude and capabilities in order to create a better environment for us all to learn.
This will include the development of community engagement activities to enable people outside UCL to benefit from learning and contributing towards making PEARL + CAVE the leading research facilities in mobility, health, people and society.
Your ability to create, practise and deliver a transdisciplinary research agenda in the these areas will link students' activities to policy impact locally and globally and your expertise in establishing external partnerships will build a trans-sectoral community of collaborators to impact educational and research trajectories.
