- Lead and mentor a team of Technical Animators, providing guidance, feedback, and support
- Establish and enforce animation standards and best practices
- Collaborate with artists, designers, and programmers to develop advanced animation systems and tools
- Create and maintain efficient animation pipelines, ensuring smooth workflow and optimized performance
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in animation technology
- Drive innovation and improvement in animation processes and techniques
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure animations meet gameplay and technical requirements
- Significant experience as a Technical Animator in the games industry
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Animation, or a related field
- Expert knowledge of animation software such as Maya, MotionBuilder, and/or 3DS Max
- Strong understanding of game engines, including Unity and Unreal Engine
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or C#
- Extensive experience with rigging and skinning complex characters
- Deep understanding of animation principles and techniques
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

We are currently seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Technical Animator to join our team at Lighthouse Games. As a Principal Technical Animator, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the animation pipeline and driving excellence in animation quality across our games.
