    Description

    SF are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant based in Derby on a permanent basis with the opportunity to progress.

    Salary up to £31,000
    Potential study support
    Office based - Pride park

    Job duties:

    • To ensure all given tasks are carried out accurately and efficiently.
    • To achieve high levels of courtesy and efficiency when dealing with customers, either directly or indirectly, in order to maximise Customer Satisfaction Performance.
    • To understand the goals of the CMA Business Plan and actively participate in achieving objectives.

    DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Be able to carry out, advise and assist on all jobs within the department.
    • Assist in monthly management accounts preparation.
    • Ensure accuracy of vehicle finance logs and reconciliation to nominal ledger.
    • Ensure accounts information downloaded.
    • Attend and assist with annual vehicle stock takes.
    • Ensure monthly new and used vehicle stock checks are fully reconciled.
    • Reconcile and clear Nominal Ledger accounts as required.
    • Edit and reconcile new and used other vehicle costs.
    • Edit and reconcile vehicle PL accounts.
    • Edit and reconcile balances on VSB PL Contra account.
    • Control vehicle debts, daily banking and Bank statements.
    • Support any data entry into computer system.
    • Ensure manufacturer bonus accounts are fully reconciled and monies collected in a timely manner.
    • Assist in Annual Budget preparation.
    • Assist in the preparation and submission of 14 day and month end forecasts.
    • Agree vehicle profits to vehicle profit and loss accounts.
    • To assist with all month end close down procedures.
    • Assist in the preparation of year end accounts.
    • Verify monthly sales commissions in line with Group procedures.
    • WAS Warranty accounts reconciled.
    • Assist with quarterly VAT returns.
    • Control vehicle debtors and distribute lists weekly as required.
    • Admin support to AFRL/VISTA systems.
    • Ensure all equipment in the working area is in good order and any defects reported immediately.
    • To be aware of Company policy relating to Health and Safety.
    • Ensure security of dealership assets at all times.
    • Produce Excel spreadsheets as required.
    • Ensure orderly retention off all supporting documentation.
    • Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues.
    • Communicate effectively with management and other staff verbally or by writing, as appropriate
