RM Recruit are recruiting a Finance Assistant role on a permanent basis working for a local not-for-profit client based in Central Birmingham.

This role will require someone with prior experience working in a busy, finance setting and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office.

The day-to-day duties include but are not limited to:

  • Processing purchase orders for goods and services as required by the central team, issuing purchase orders to suppliers, and ensuring that all transactions are signed off by the correct budget holder
  • Monthly monitoring of outstanding commitments
  • Providing full support to the finance team with purchase invoicing, sales invoicing and supplier maintenance
  • Processing journals and month end procedures
  • Help and assist with the filing and retrieval of documents in relation to the daytoday running of the Finance department
  • Managing aged creditors and supplier statements
  • Processing monthly bacs payment runs
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Dealing with general queries with internal and external contacts
